Don't call me alligator, cause I don't bite; Don't call me wrestler, cause I won't fight; After all, you're the boss, ain't that right? Don't call me passenger, not on no flight, Don't call me messenger, cause I don't bike, I'm going to run to you baby, straight to you When my shift ends tonight (tonight!) Cubicle get down, cubicle get down, Don't you wanna get, don't you wanna get down? Does the cubicle get you down? (Cubicle get you down) Don't you wanna get, come over let's get Get get down, get down I make your schedule, you make me moan, Book your appointments, sneak in my own, I may be young but you get me full grown. There's hot honeys everywhere on my way to work, But hot honeys, I don't care, cause you come in first. I'm a loyal employee, honey; so let's get to work You hired me to work! Cubicle get down, cubicle get down, Don't you wanna get, don't you wanna get down? Does the cubicle get you down? (Cubicle get you down) Don't you wanna get, come over let's get Get get down, get down [Breakdown] Give me something to feel tonight tomorrow, As I sit on the phone all day and I'm talking to strangers and I'm emailing strangers, But I'm thinking bout bringing my happy ass over to you. Cubicle get down, cubicle get down, Don't you wanna get, don't you wanna get down? Does the cubicle get you down? (Cubicle get you down) Don't you wanna get, come over let's get Get get down, get down

I wake up in the morning (Do you see me? Do you see me?) I wake up in the morning (Do you see me? Do you see me?) I wake up in the morning (Do you?) Alarm clock rings at 8am, My favorite hour of the day, I make it out in time to be super fucking late. I get on the train, I get on the train, And think about my job And how I might be happier without it, When I walk in, though, everybody's super nice to me! And everybody's telling me I'll be alright, But they don't know what I think about at night, When I'm drinking alone and I'm masturbating To the same damn hardcore BDSM scene. I tell my therapist almost everything, Like how I'm scared of the subway Cause I don't think it would take too much more For me to jump and we all know how everyone hates delays. Delay my heart, delay my mind, delay my pain And say my goodbyes, "I loved you all!" And everybody's telling me I'll be alright, But they don't know what I think about at night, When I'm smoking a bowl and I'm flicking the bean To the same damn hardcore BDSM scene. Everybody's telling me I'll be alright, But they don't know what I think about at night, When I'm saying my prayers, hoping God doesn't care Bout the same damn hardcore BDSM scene. I wake up in the morning (Do you see me? Do you see me?) I wake up in the morning (Do you see me? Do you see me?) Everybody's telling me I'll be alright, But they don't know what I think about at night, When I'm smoking a bowl and I'm masturbating To the same damn hardcore BDSM scene. And everybody's telling me I'll be alright, But they don't know what I think about at night, When I'm saying my prayers, hoping God doesn't care About that same damn hardcore BDSM scene. I wake up in the morning (Do you see me? Do you see me?) I wake up in the morning, do you see me?

I wanna marry Olly Alexander! Olly Alexander! Olly Alexander!
Nobody better, Olly Alexander! Olly Alexander! Olly Alexander! You tell me it’s a fantasy, You say he’ll never look at me; But he’s already liked a picture on my Instagram.
(Not to mention -) In the middle of the night he comes to me in my wildest dreams, Reveals to me years and years its seemed Life was going nowhere are history
Cause the air, it shifts, when we’re together Olly Alexander
And Me. I wanna marry Olly Alexander! Olly Alexander! Olly Alexander! I wanna marry Olly Alexander! Olly Alexander! Olly Alexander! Monogamy’s a stranger, Olly Alexander! Olly Alexander! Olly Alexander!
But not forever (or with) Olly Alexander! Olly Alexander! Olly Alexander! You tell me that he’s awful busy,
Got no time for a guy like me, But he already liked a picture on my Instagram (And don’t forget that - ) In the middle of the night he comforts me, makes me feel pretty We speak only complex poetry And our love surrounds us, somehow tangibly While the earth’s core cools when we’re together Olly Alexander He comes to me in my wildest dreams, I get on one knee,
look up at my King, Propose sweet nothings
I’ve been told may mean,
"Can I be with you, my dear, forever, Olly Alexander"? In the middle of the night we drive away, “Don’t look back,” he’ll say, He loves me so,
we're never letting go; Dreams accelerate, yet all of time stands still, Cause it’s “Clockstoppers” when we’re together
 Olly Alexander
 And me <3

Your stepmom drives you to school, but you’ve got nothing to talk about, So you hop on the bus, now you’ve got something to complain about. They call you a faggot every day, a word you can’t defend, You’d try to tell them it’s not your way, but your voice just does you in. Give it some time, boy, you will see, This is not the end. Give it a year, or maybe five, It won’t be more than ten. Til you’re dancing through the city like a big-time motherfucker, Just dancing through the city like a big-time motherfucker. Your granny, she may not approve, It don’t mean you don’t love her, You’re just dancing through the city like a big-time motherfucker. Little girl, would you prefer a different pronoun? Don’t worry, I won’t tell your mother now. The restroom mirror in your church, Shows the monster your preacher’s been preachin’ bout, But look even harder and you will find, Such a Noble man tryna come out. Just give it some time boy, you will see, This is not the end. You’ll get a new birthday you’ll share with me, You’ll start over again. Dancing through the city like a big-time motherfucker, You’re just dancing through the city like a big-time motherfucker. Your auntie, she may scoff at you, But you just see her in the summer, Cause you’re dancing through the city like a Breakdown And when all this time alone feels like a waste, You may be free, but your bed has one big empty space, I hear that’s when you know, That you’ve gotten to know yourself. You’ll put yourself out there, You’ll put yourself out there, (It’ll be scary but) you’ll put yourself out there, (It’ll be hard but) you can put yourself out there, You’ll put yourself out there - You’ll be dancing through the city with a big-time motherfucker, You’ll be dancing through the city with a big-time motherfucker, You’ll look in their eyes and you will find it was worth the while, Cause you're dancing through the city with a big-time motherfucker, You’re dancing through the city with a big-time motherfucker, You’re dancing through the city with a - And you dance, and you dance, and you dance...

It's exhausting becoming exhausted, To have things go as they should, But just as they should, You've quit praying for me, babe You've quit praying for me, babe You've quit praying for me, babe You've quit praying for me, babe. It's disheartening losing your heart, Day after day, the bus on its way. It's tiring becoming so tired, Walls caving in, no more ink in the pen. You've quit praying for me, babe You've quit praying for me, babe You've quit praying for me, babe You've quit praying for me, babe. So what do I do to get back in your good graces? I never knew that I could feel the difference, The difference is under my skin - Cause you've quit praying for me, babe You've quit praying for me, babe You've quit praying for me, babe You've quit praying for me, babe. You've quit praying for me, babe You've quit praying for me, babe. Don't quit praying for me, babe, Don't quit praying for me, babe.

You, you lost me. How did you lose me When I was just two steps behind you? You, you replaced me. How did you erase me When I wrote in permanent marker? Permanent marker, permanent marker, permanent marker How did my life get to this point, We all ask ourselves. How did my life get to this point, I need some help. You, you lost me. How did you lose me? I kept myself just two steps behind you. You, you replaced me. How did you erase me When I wrote in permanent marker? Permanent marker, permanent marker, permanent marker.

about

"Hump Daze" the album deals with working a cubicle job, entering your mid-20s with equal parts drive and complacency, and growing into your hard-rock queerness. It also acts as part two of the soundtrack to my show in the New York Fringe Festival, "Johnny Darlin: In the Closet," complimenting the offerings from my first EP, "Mr. Monogamy."
